The build process
The basis of any guitar is the neck. The construction of Two-Tone follows a 'straight through' method. The neck is of 1 piece construction with 2 extra pieces to 'pad' the neck out before the 'wings' are glued on. The Ebony fingerboard is inlaid with Abalone diamond position markers and fretted with small / medium nickel silver fret-wire.
Once the 'wings' are glued to the guitar it's then routed for the binding. Shown below are pictures of the glueing process, routing the binding channel, checking the registration of the templates, the finished guitar just prior to binding and fitting the roller nut prior to lacquering.
Below are various pictures showing the finishing process and assembly.
