The RS Transporter

The RS Transporter was conceived and designed by Martin Pitcher. It was basically designed as a travel version of the Red Special. It shares the same 24" scale length of Brian May's original guitar but it a far more compact package. It includes full switching as well as a built in switchable KAT treble booster.
Shortly after the prototype was built and tested, we decided it was something quite special so Martin and I decided to go ahead and build a limited edition of 25 guitars. I put the idea to Brian and he loved it! When asked if he wanted one and in what colour, he replied "Yes, and red of course!"
The prototype was finished in a colour called 'Union red', to start with, customers ordered this finish, but they soon started to get more adventurous with colours. One was even covered in gold leaf!
