The 'Big Red' special

This custom RS was a really interesting project from start to finish. With the glued in Rosewood neck, 24.75" scale length, f-hole and custom switching, it was to be quite unlike any other.
Thankfully the customer is very happy with the finished instrument.

  • Body construction as per Brian May's original guitar.
  • Birds-eye maple veneer to body and headstock face.
  • Indian Rosewood binding to body and f-hole.
  • Indian Rosewood neck with birdseye maple veneer to Oak fingerboard. MOP/Tahitian black pearl 'Yin/Yang' inlays with silver detail.
  • Stainless steel fretwire.
  • Stainless steel toggle switch. Position 1: Bridge and middle in phase. Position 2: Middle and neck out of phase. Position 3: Neck pickup.
  • Built in KAT treble booster.
  • Sperzel machine heads.
  • All relevant parts bead blasted to give a satin finish.
  • Yonderpod Carbon fibre case with custom interior colour.
